GAAS Corporation is an early stage company located in Tucson, Arizona and housed in the premier facilities at the University of Arizona Science and Technology Park.

The long term goal of GAAS Corporation is to develop and commercialize a novel anti-inflammatory agent from turmeric, the rhizome of the plant Curcuma longa. Turmeric has been used safely for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine as a treatment for inflammatory disorders, including arthritis. The company's preliminary results show that a specific part of turmeric is 20-30 times more effective than other commercially available dietary supplements and its effectiveness is similar to that of indomethacin, an over the counter pain reliever.
